Common Ground Country Fair

The Common Ground Country Fair will be in person at MOFGA’s Common Ground Education Center in Unity, Maine, on September 22, 23 and 24, 2023. The fairgrounds are open Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. MOFGA’s annual celebration of rural living features 1,000-plus exhibitors and speakers, and emphasizes vibrant communities, sustainable living and local economies, while highlighting organic agriculture.PLEASE join Maine Community Solar at this exciting event, learn how you can make environmentally friendly choices in your daily life and make a big impact on your personal health as well as the health of our planet!

The Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (MOFGA), formed in 1971, is the oldest and largest state organic organization in the country. MOFGA held its first Common Ground Country Fair in 1977, roughly 10,000 people came from Maine and beyond! Over the years the location has changed several times to accommodate growing attendance. The purchase of more than 200 acres of fields and forest ended the search for MOFGA home and fairgrounds in 1996. This year’s expected attendance is roughly 60,000!
